Day 1 - Introductions

Hey guys.

Today's class was awesome.

We got to know each other. And we started trying to figure out what this class is going to look like.

Feel free to check out some of the pages. And feel free to leave a comment with your ideas.

  1. Don't mind me being a stalker or anything but... an Advanced writing class? Seriously??? That is way cool!!! Just was browsing old and new writing and stumbled upon this amazing idea. My brother is going to Lone Peak next year, tall kid, dark hair, told him to take any of your classes he could get into. Give him a hard time for me if you see him, k? :P

    Do lots of poetry slams
    but dont make them required.
becuase i write better on paper rather than speaking.

    1. I hear you. Talking with Isaac and John after class, we talked about it being a constant opportunity, but not a requirement. And if nobody wants to read then we'll watch a poem and talk about it.

  6. I received this e-mail today: some good ideas.

"Have a part on skyward called "share your work"
In which you have to share your writing in some way, examples could include
    -slam poetry
    -posting it on social media
    -entering a contest
-making a video of your writing
-printing it out and giving it to the class.
I just think it would be cool to share your writing in different ways and encouragement to get yourself out there."

    1. I really like this. I think it would be a great way to get us comfortable sharing our creativity with others, because that is really important if you want to build a career of it.
