  1. I'm sorry for being so bi-polar.

This is the best class ever! Why don't you try harder? Do you think this class is a joke? I can't believe how awesome you guys are! Your writing is unbelievable! Why don't you ever read blogs? Let's make a book! Why haven't you started your project? Why are you always absent? You all deserve awards! Let's celebrate! Is this remedial creative writing?

Anyway. Sorry. I love and hate all of you. Mostly love.

  2. Sorry I didn't come today. I started crying at school and it was really awkward so I went home and cuddled with my new kitten. I think everyone needs a kitten to cuddle with.

    1. Which award is yours?

I'm sure a bunch of people are gonna be mad at their awards. Oh well.

  4. The award I made was cutest.
I think a lot of people will be happy and a lot will be disappointed.
But eh, you can't please everyone

  5. Hey Nelson this is gonna sound weird but I saw your rt and do we have to audition for speak for yourself this year? Not that this panics me, but it does. That's all.

    1. Yes. We're only doing one night. 30 poets total. And we're inviting a couple of other schools (Westlake, AF, etc.).

    2. Okay well that's stressful. Do you know when you'll be holding them?

    3. So there may be two different auditions.

One for Speak for Yourself (held at Lone Peak 4/23). There will be multiple auditions for this in Mr. Rees's room. (Tentatively 4/13, 4/15, 4/17, and 4/21).

The one I posted on Twitter was for the Copper Hills slam (4/20). That's a team thing and it's separate from Speak for Yourself. I'm not sure who will be picking for that team.

  6. I need some backup dancers for the opening number.

We need to rehearse for 15 minutes or so. Maybe during 3rd (my prep) or during lunch?

    2. I'll send an e-mail to Lois Johnson right now. Jim Smith made it sound like she'd be cool with it.

    1. You'll definitely need to bring your hips. There will likely be some twirling and some pretend gun shooting. Isaac and Madeline are a yes. When can we rehearse?

    2. Lunch is best for me. I dont know about Madeline. Every class other than fourth on my a day is AP.

  8. My 3rd period is preschool so I can do either 3rd or lunch

    1. If we can get a few during 3rd that would be great. We can't spend much time during lunch because we have to get ready for the red carpet show!!!!!

p.s. I don't really have a dance choreographed. Like I said, it's just some twirling and some finger pointing and maybe a little White man's overbite.

  11. Bonnie and I thought about making a celebrity appearance at this thing. I'm clearly taking this class vicariously through this blog. I know I'm not a student but I'm coming to the slams and Tanner and I are putting together a team that will be disqualified bc #graduated (why wasn't I conceived 3 months l8r?).
